Welcome

Welcome to the stupid shell of what will become at most a below average website, I hope.  I cannot promise anything though. It may even stay like this for another year.  There are never any set dates or times when I update or perform maintenance around here, I do when I think about it and that for some reason never seems like enough.

I have had some sort of website published on the web since 1994 and I have been calling miserable.com home for nearly the entire time.  I have only mentioned its existence to handful of people and tend to forget its existence for what are sometimes very long periods. Just to give you an idea about how neglectful I can be, I completely forget about it. I literally seem to forget that it is, it was, or anything it might ever be for a period of time.  Well anyhow, whenever I do happen to tell someone about it for whatever reason they ask why.  Why do you have a website?  I thought I would spend a second and talk about why I have a website.

I put my first website up while I was attending school and its main purpose was to be a true homepage.  I wanted to be able to have a favorites list available to me regardless of the computer I happen to be using.  There are not as many links here now, nothing like versions in the past, but I should be adding many more in the days to come.  Ever since I stopped using a large number of different computers every day I have used my website as a homepage less and less.  I think one of the main reasons I still have one around is I really enjoy the time that I spend working on it.  I feel I should spend more time then I do working on it, but as I mentioned above I tend to forget of its existence and the website just ends up sitting here in limbo waiting for me to remember it.

I also like the fact that I have the ability to share something with the entire world.  I still enjoying surfing the net and from time to time I find some websites that I enjoy and will probably visit on a regular basis, and probably end up recommending it to at least a few of the people I know.  So I am going to maintain this stupid website mainly as a starting point for when I feel like surfing the web and as a place where whether you stumbled across it or were told to come here will be able to enjoy oneself and want to come back.  If you happen to have any recommendations on what could be done to improve the place please mail me and let me know. I will see what I can do about it.
